Why we ask
Most bot blockers ask nothing and block everything. Google too.
A one-click setting cannot tell the crawler that brings you customers from the one that copies your prices. So we ask a few questions first: your answers decide which bots your site needs and which it can do without.
When does it happen?
What kind of site is it?
Do your ads point to the site?
Ads need their own crawlers to get in, so we keep them open.
Your answers so far
This is what your report will cover
Bot report for your site
- Which bots visit, and how much of your traffic they are
- Whether real Google and Bing get in
- Which visitors load your server most, hour by hour
- How much of your analytics is bots, not people
- Scrapers that copy your prices and pages
- Settings that turn Google away
- The ad crawlers your ads need, kept open
- The rules to stop the harmful ones, ready to paste
The next questions decide how we get your traffic numbers.

What we found when this happened before
Quick fixes locked out Google
On one store, "I'm Under Attack" mode turned away Google's phone crawler about 2,200 times, and a ready-made "block AI bots" rule blocked the real Bing crawler about 35,000 times in 11 days. The report pointed to the exact rule to fix.
"508 Resource Limit Is Reached" on shared hosting
A scraper using 130,000 different addresses took 27% of all the server's work, and 91% of the pages it asked for did not exist. One rule now gives it a check that people pass and bots fail, while Google, Bing and ad crawlers skip it.
Facebook's ad crawler slowing the site down
In one wave Meta's ad crawler sent 272,000 requests in a day instead of the usual 2,000 to 3,000 and took 79% of the server's time. Blocking it would have stopped the ads, so we suggested limiting only what it had no reason to do.
Site slow and going down several times a week
One bot was sending half of all the site's traffic: up to 928,000 requests a day, from more than a thousand addresses. From the same evening it no longer reached the store, and Google got normal pages again.
"I'm Under Attack" mode turned Google away in one of these cases. It is a quick fix, not a filter.
Blocking addresses rarely helps: the scrapers in our cases switched between thousands of them.
Real numbers, names removed. More in case studies.
Which site should we look at?
We open it the way a visitor and a bot would and show you what we see. This takes a few seconds.
